Abstract (EN)
The River Gediz, which is the second greatest river after the River Menderes of Egean Region, is under threat of pollution caused by institutions of region, domestic waste, agricultural medicine and artificial fertilizer.Any kind matter which may exist in water than definite concentration according to its usage goal is dangerous for health. Heavy metals constitute the most important group among these matters which can be inconvenient even trace amounts in water. For this reason in our study, the physical parameters of the samples which were taken from five stations at River Gediz were measured by water and sediment quality checker and the heavy metal constitute were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The result were analyzed according to Water Pollution Control Regulations.
