An examination on the traditional Malatya houses

However, these values should be preservedand transferred to the next generations. The study covers to inspect generalarchitectural characteristics of 30 traditional houses in the Malatya city whichhas not been recently analyzed comprehensively. The thesis is formed by sixparts. In the first part, the aim, the importance and the method of the study areexplained. In the second part, general introduction is given and cultural and thenatural values, the geographical characteristics and the history of the city areaexplained. Following this in the third part, both general characteristics oftraditional Anatolia Turkish house and traditional Malatya houses areexamined. Fourthly, the reflection of sociocultural values that play big role onMalatya houses? shapes is explained.
