Analysis of interior space of the traditional Tekirdağ houses

ANALYSIS OF INTERIOR SPACE OF THE TRADITIONAL TEK RDAĞHOUSES( M.Sc.Thesis )Ömer GÜMÜŞGAZ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYJanuary 2007ABSTARCTIn This research,it is aimed to determinate the ornamentation and technicalcharacteristics of static or active equipments which were used in the interiorplace of traditional Tekirdağ dwellings and to fix their functional andbehaviorial effects on users. To achieve this,twenty traditional dwelling whichare settled in the centre of the city were anlysed. Four of them are being usedfor income and the others for house. The datums of the research were obtainedby sistematical observation and questionnaire. By the way, the architecturalcharacteristics, the plans, the photos and the adresses of the dwellings werearranged seperately and pointed out on an inventory form. As a result, thetraditional Tekirdağ dwellings architectural characteristics and thecharacteristics of the equipments used as static or active, were totally fixed. Thisinformation shows that. Today there is no sign of patriarchal family. Instead,these houses include only few members. So, it can be easily realized that manyparts of the house have to be out of use.
