Özet (EN)

In this research, basing the hypothesis `in Traditional Turkish Folk Music the more rhythm patterns are used it is easier to read?, rhythm patterns of 510 Turkish Folk Songs which have 4/4 major key from the archive of TRT were examined according to frequency of apparition and sorted from the top to the least. 4 Folk songs which have been selected randomly out of 510 were sang by the Traditional Turkish Folk Music Students in the Academic Year 2008-2009 in Gazi University, Faculty of Education, Fine Arts Education , Department of Teaching Music and recorded. And this record was listened by arbitration committee that was formed by 3 people who were studying on their masters thesis, and the proportion of error in singing was examined. At the end of the research, it was seen that if rhythm patterns are used frequently, proportion of error is low, but if rhythm patterns are used less proportion of error is high. So, with the result, obviously it is better to start Traditional Folk Music Education with folk songs which rhythm patterns are used frequently and to teach songs which have limited rhythm patterns in higher levels.
