The aim of this study is to identify golden and silver belts that have been used in traditional clothing and to investigate the production techniques and the materials.This study is based on a surveying descriptive model. After surveying the literature, a questionnaire was prepared and presented to jewellers in order to obtain the required data for the study.The study group of investigation is composed of workshop workers in Şanlıurfa who make gold and silver belts and jewellers, silversmiths and end users of these belts.In the scope of this study, a questionnaire was presented to jewellers and the frequency and percentage analysis and relevant tables were prepared by using the obtained data. As a result of this study, we determined the identifying properties of the silver and gold belts manufactured in Şanlıurfa in recent years and documented the materials and techniques which were used for the production. We also assessed the opinions of the manufacturers and customers.Gold and silver belts recently manufactured in Şanlıurfa have been assessed. Furthermore, some suggestions have been made based on the opinions of interviewees and the obtained data.
