Abstract (EN)

Important activities such as birth, engagement, marriage, death, military service in all societies, "invitation" actions are important. The main purpose here is for people together, to form a social unity to carry the same feeling and thoughts. People meeting on a common denominator witness the start of a new life or the person or people who are the subjects of these activities. These actions are part of social change and also ensure that individuals have status. Birth, marriage and death actions have always been important in Turkish societies. Traditions, rituals, beliefs were created around these periods and most importantly other people were asked to be aware of these activities. For this reason, other members of the society have been invited through various methods and objects. In this study, transition periods in Turkish cultural history emphasized. The defitinition and functioning mechanism of these periods were evaluated. Next cultural and development stages of invitation and advertisement concepts from past to present have been analyzed.
