Abstract (EN)
Air transportation is one of the important industry of the world with functionality and revenue. Air transportation offers shortest travel time and facility to improve trade, tourism and political relations.The first section contains brief explanation about the sector and the properties of air transportation, history, air transportation in the world and Turkey is mentioned in the second section.In the third section, overall information about revenue management with examples from real world is mentioned.In the fourth section, three fundamental functions about core process of an airline are explained. It includes the preparation of scheduling and basic stages of production planning. Responsibility of Revenue Management and Marketing Department as Market segmantation and pricing is explained much more detailed in the fifth section.After the entering low cost carrier in the aviation industry, more than one price option may offered for same seat in the same flight. In the sixth section, it is mentioned that how the companies are using the revenue management system in order to maximize the revenue.In the seventh section it is explained that how airline companies are using dynamic capacity management techniques to meet the variable demand of customer.In the eight part, the implemantation of dynamic capacity management with simulation model is mentioned.And in the last part the conclusions of the implementation are given.
