The new power of the art of photography in thecontext of the developing technology: The application of 3D-VR-AR in the preservation and theredesign of the cultural heritage

Since the First Industrial Revolution, societies' social, economic, cultural, artistic change and transformation have always been closely tied with technology, and this has been continuing today with Digitalization and Industry 4.0. When we look at the historical process, it possible to see that the photography is an artistic value with its technological and image language. Since the 19th century, in which the process of change in technology of photography has started, including today's Information Age Technologies: it is clearly understood that the strong interaction of Photography, The Art of Photography and Technology is the active element of society's value system. Machines developed with the means of digital technology and the algorithms that supports hardware, software programs, the space that programs create are all making photography more dynamic. By using digital technological devices and hardware, photography can make new productions with new expression languages. Through the fusion of technique and aesthetics, the art of photography can be transformed into new forms and can be recreated with the techniques of image processing and effect application through the use of digital technology. The means of technology offer techniques such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and 3D systems to the use of photography. The product, which comes out from the existence of the virtual world, shaped by the photography artist's aesthetic perspective that supports the technique, is benefitting the art of photography. Photography iv artist, who produce works in particular usage areas, can reach all of that particular area's user/audience directly through the hardware and software that supports digital devices. The artist of photography can be an important component in society's future construct by helping individuals to develop perception, interpretation, association, awareness raising, dreaming and memory construction. In this study, starting from the beginning of the history of photography, digitalization and simulations, integrated systems, cloud computing, the internet of objects and systems such as Big Data and the means of internet which connects these systems, are analyzed. The effects of new, digitalized models of doing works and techniques on the art of photography, the harmony of the art of photography with technology over modernist photography artists in a historical perspective, and today's modern photography artist's new areas of application with the opportunities of digitalization are also analyzed. At the end of the study, shootings and their taking phases with digital camera, as an example of the protection and preservation of Kaleiçi architecture from past to the present, are represented.
