Abstract (EN)

In maritime transportation, intense traffic occurs within ports, straits and canal passages. When severe weather conditions are added to this situation, accidents can be unavoidable. Accidents mainly occur in the form of ships colliding with each other or running aground. Tankers are vehicles used in maritime transportation. They transport processed or crude oil itself and its derivatives in their tanks. This type of transportation constitutes the largest tonnage in all maritime transportation. The intense traffic, which occurs in certain regions, increases the risk of accidents. When a ship crashes into a tanker or tankers into each other, oil or its derivatives are spread into the sea. This pollution has negative effects on the coastal and marine ecosystem, as well as causes the direct destruction of living creatures in the natural marine environment and/or in production farms and the prevention of recreational activities. In this study, simulations of a ship's forecastle hitting a tanker or container ship from its side were examined in detail using ANSYS / LS-DYNA software. Damage analyzes were carried out by examining the energy values released and the deformations that occurred during the collision of the ships. Therefore, it has been revealed that tanker and other ship constructions need to be designed according to severe accident scenarios at the design stage, and it has been possible to develop suggestions in this scope. Thus, it is of great importance to limit the damage that will occur in accidents and to prevent environmental pollution or at least to limit it effectively.
