Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of an eight-week TRX training program on body composition, anaerobic power, and selected biomotor abilities in young male volleyball players. Twenty-six volunteers (aged 14–18) from the Muş Sports High School volleyball team participated in the research. The athletes were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n = 13) or a control group (n = 13). While the control group continued only their regular volleyball training, the experimental group completed a TRX program in addition to their routine sessions. Before and after the eight-week training period, assessments were conducted for body composition, anaerobic power, vertical jump, hand-grip strength, leg strength, and a 10-m sprint test. Data were analyzed using the SPSS software package. Normality was checked with the Shapiro–Wilk test, and all variables were found to be normally distributed (p > .05). Repeated-measures analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed to analyze normally distributed data. The results showed statistically significant improvements in 10-m sprint performance, vertical jump height, leg strength, and peak power after the eight week TRX program (p < .05). In contrast, no significant changes were observed in body composition or hand-grip strength (p > .05). As a result, it can be stated that TRX training has positive effects on performance-related parameters such as explosive strength, speed, and anaerobic power in young male volleyball players.
