Investigation of the effects of life kinetic exercises applied in young football players on football technical skills

Aim: This study aims to reveal the possible contributions of LK exercises to traditional football training. Material and Method: The experimental research model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used in our research. While the universe of the study consisted of football players between the ages of 11-13, the sample consisted of 30 male football players between the ages of 11-13 enrolled in Erzincan Beşiktaş Football School in the Central district of Erzincan Province. Football players participated in the experimental and control groups, which received LK exercise training. The players were given the Mor-Christian Football Aptitude Test, the Y Balance Test, and the d2 Attention Test. Two-way repeated measures analysis of variance was used in the data analyses, and the data were analyzed using the SPSS 26.0 software program. Results: The change in shooting, passing, dribbling, balance, and attention values of LK-trained players were more significant than in the control group. These changes were especially significant from the fifth week onwards. There was no significant change in balance and attention values in the control group. Conclusion: It is recommended to add LK exercise training to the weekly training programs of football players for at least 60 minutes in total, to make positive contributions to the cognitive and technical skills of football players.
