Abstract (EN)
The Department : Marmara University Faculty of Sport Sciences Department of Movement and Training Objective: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects of differential training method on tennis skills, mobility and visual reaction time in young tennis athletes candidates against the traditional training methods. Materials and Methods: Our study consisted of differential learning (DL) group and traditional learning group (TL) consisting of high school students, and control group (KG) which included new students to a tennis club. There were 12 participants in each group (age 15.00 ± 0.00, height 1.65 ± 0.06, weight 64.69 ± 11.50). In the study groups, participants performed 30 training for 10 weeks. In all groups, International Tennis Number (ITN), mobility and visual reaction tests were performed at the beginning, middle, end and 2 weeks after the end of the study. In the control group, since the training continued after 10 weeks, the retention test was not performed. Results and Conclusion: As a result of the analyzes, it was seen that the training in all groups improved the skill and reaction time and did not affect the mobility. In addition, it was seen that differential learning group caused more improvement and permanence on volley depth, forehand backhand accuracy, service and total hit scores compared to other groups.
