Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among interpersonal relationships, coping styles, and psychological resilience in young adults according to some variables. The sample of the study consists of a total of 345 young adults, 283 women and 62 men, living in Turkey, continuing their education and/or working life in 2021-2022. The study benefited from the "Personal Information Form" to obtain data about the demographic characteristics of the people participating in the study, and from "Interpersonal Relationship Scale" to determine the interpersonal relationship they use, and from "Stress Coping Styles" to understand which coping styles they use in case of stress. Furthermore, the "Short Resilience Scale" was used to understand the "Scale" and the level of resilience. The analysis of the data was carried out using the Spss 22.0 software. The study examined whether interpersonal relations scores, styles of coping with stress, and psychological resilience scores differ according to demographic variables (e.g. gender, marital status, education level, age, number of siblings, education level of parents, monthly income, number of close friends, frequency of doing sports, and problem perception). It was found that the styles of coping with stress and the levels of psychological resilience did not differ according to the gender variable, the number of siblings, and the education level of the parents. The predictive effect of coping styles on psychological resilience was investigated. It has been found that psychological resilience is a determinant of the styles of coping with stress. Psychological resilience increases positively with effective methods of coping with stress. Significant positive relationships were also found in psychological resilience and interpersonal relationships (nurturing). The results of the research were discussed in line with the relevant literature.
