The youth group folklore and the cultural space: Two samples of passages at Kızılay district of Ankara

At this study named as ?The Youth Group Folklore and The Cultural Space: Two Samples of Passages at Kızılay District of Ankara" the youth culture seen at Ankara in 2009 was investigated by using the products which were sold at passages of Kızılay, District of Ankara. Also, the origins of the products were investigated and tried to determine what the meanings are.The exhibited images in line with the tastes of young people were emphasized, the relationship between these images and youth culture are addressed and the relationship between the products reflecting the images and the products sold at the passages were tried to reveal. In addition, tastes and values of young people and the factors that influence the socialization process are detected, and then the inferences made about the direction and the causes of social change. Accordingly, the points, young people are in search for their identity and the features of foreign-source cultures are taken model, have been identified. Especially the youth cultures, the United States origin, are taken model while creating images. To do this, survey, interview and observation techniques have been applied to the staff of passages and young people in the range of 14-23 years old. The survey data were implemented in SPSS program and were summarized in the table. Others results were expressed in writing.
