Özet (EN)

Strained spinal cord syndrome is a group of diseases characterized by progressive neurological losses that occur with stretching of the spinal cord for congenital or acquired reasons. As a result of stretching the Spinal cord along the long axis, neurological, orthopedic and urological symptoms can be seen. In January October 2017 to October 2019, 32 patients operated due to strained spinal cord syndrome were examined and the results were evaluated with the literature at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. Demographic characteristics of 32 patients included in the study , ASA scoring, intubation tube used, operation times, preoperative and postoperative hematocrit values, intraoperative blood and blood product use, transamine use, postoperative stay in intensive care were recorded. The stretched spinal cord syndrome surgery is long, the prone position is a featured surgery due to the use of intraoperative neuromonitorization methods, and the role of the anesthesia team is very important. The anesthesiologist should be in contact with the surgical team from the preoperative period until the discharge of the patient. In our study, we had the chance to retrospectively evaluate the net records of a small number of patients. We think that it is important to see both what we do right and where we may be missing, and we think that we will achieve clearer results by carrying out broader prospective studies. Key Words: Strained Spinal Cord Syndrome, Prone Position
