Abstract (EN)

Universal Serendipity Elements are defined as isoparametric elements that have linear, quadratic and cubic node configurations at their edges in an arbitrary manner. The formulation of isoparametric requires a coordinate mapping between master element and physical element. If the edge nodes of the physical element are mispositioned, this causes a distortion which is known as `mapping distortion? in finite element method. These distortions can be eliminated by using a more flexible master element with adjustable edge node locations.In this study, Universal Serendipity Elements are applied to dynamic problems with an improved computer program. Shape functions of elements, mass and damping matrices are obtained with this computer program. Mapping distortions which occurs by mispositioned edge nodes, can be eliminated with this improved computer program. A deep cantilever which is under transient loading, is analyzed with improved formulation and standart formulation and the obtained displacement values are compared.
