Abstract (EN)

In this study firstly, the plastic materials and the plastic processing methots were introduced. In the further steps, product design, mold design and computer aided mold design were evaluated by focusing on plastic injection molding process. In the final step, after the plastic injection molding process, the effects of parameters that are the product design, gate numbers, gate dimensions and runner design about the warpaging problem on products were observed. The experiment mold was designed and manufactured in order to observe the parameter effects. The warpages were measured by producing experiment spciemens with the aid of the molds. The Taguchi method and variance analysis were utilized in the detection of the warpage numbers that are obtained in the experiment specimens. Experiment parameters were optimized and warpage values were minimized by using the datas obtained from the analisis results. Key Words: Plastic injection molding, Taguchi method, warpage
