The relation of the concepts of erotism and death in the philosophy of Georges Bataille to the concepts of sovereignty and consumption

Bataille interprets the world of work, which began with the use of tools of primitive man, as a transition from the impersonal plane of existence to the transcendental world in which the subject and the object are formed. In the world of objects, built with labour, human beings had lost the sovereignty of the world of immanence and reduced life to the slavery of work, benefit and concern for utility. With the study, the relationship with the future is opening to the erotic field while creating the condition of having the consciousness of death. Consumption, which appears in a productive coexistence, is against the unconscious consumption of sovereignty, the sole desire of human being on the basis of existence, and therefore, erotica, which is a wasteful consumption, is constantly attacked by the understanding of accumulation of the working world. The prophetic world of work, death awareness and sexual prohibitions is therefore characterized by an integral integrity from the laws of the general economy. The work is characterized by a profane world of death consciousness and sexual prohibitions, so integral to the laws of the general economy. Bataille says it is impossible for us to understand his sovereignty over life without knowing the laws of Economics. Therefore, the freezing of borders, apartheid policies, sexualization and nurturing of bodies are in fact objects of the general economic policy that is the target of being dominant. In the modern world, the contagion carried by the primitive man in contact with prohibition is still circulating in life as wars, massacres in non-industrialised areas, torture and concentration camps, ignorance, fanaticism, violence, ecological threats and epidemics. Whereas, the only desire of a person who stepped out of the animal and stepped on the transcendent is to regain this consciousness. Bataille therefore reads history not as progress but as history of alienation to immanence. According to Bataille, man can overcome this humiliation in the face of life only through the frontier experiences of eroticism, sacrifice, death and laughter. These boundary experiences create moments of exiting the world as a result of overcoming the schemes of the unholy world.
