Abstract (EN)

Surrealism is an art movement that emerged in France in the first quarter of the nineteenth century, influenced by Dadaism, the Fuzzy Act and Freud, and spread throughout the world, along with the escape of some of its representatives to the United States during World War II. This movement, based on the denegation of minds and traditions, recommends to keep the consciousness in the background and advises the completely release of unconsciousness of the artist is in the process of creation of works of art. Surrealism, leads dreams and miraculousness in the light of unconsciousness, professes the reality in a place further than objective reality, in "surrealism" and asserts the real "reality" is "surrealism". Reality that can not comprehend the whole of the mind, is now accessible through surrealism. In my this study, I approached the intellectual experience and references that reveal surrealism, then I tried to examine hypothetic and historic stages of surrealism. Then, I opened surrealism up for discussion and following this, I tried to analyze relation between painting and photograph. As a final, with focusing on Dali, Magritte, Man Ray and Picabia, the most well-known artists of surrealism, I searched the contributions of these artists in framework of surrealism and I critically examined the various works of these artists and tried to reinterpret the works with photograph, manipulation and graphic design applications. Key Words: Surrealism, Graphic Design, Dali, Magritte, Man Ray, Picabia
