Abstract (EN)

Today, many reinforced concrete structures are being demolished due to urban transformation, renovation works and earthquakes resulting in construction debris. It is extremely important for a sustainable construction activity to recycle the demolition wastes left behind from these reinforced concrete structures and not to create environmental waste. In the literature, there are studies on concrete and reinforced concrete manufacturing using concrete aggregate obtained from demolition waste. However, in the case of using these waste aggregates in load-bearing structural elements, a study on the adhesion between concrete and reinforcement could not be reached and the subject was examined within the scope of this thesis. Within the scope of the thesis, waste concrete pieces taken from a demolished reinforced concrete structure were provided and mixtures were prepared to obtain C25 concrete. In addition to the reference samples produced with normal coarse crushed stone aggregate, total of 30 adherence samples obtained using 0%, 30%, 50%, and 100% recycled aggregates were subjected to tensile testing. Similar mechanical behavior was observed in the concrete and adherence samples produced with 100% normal aggregate and 30% recycled aggregate.
