Gestasyonel diyabetes mellitus hastalarında chemerin ve fetuin-A seviyelerinin değerlendirilmesi

This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and maternal serum chemerin and fetuin-A levels. This cross-sectional study was conducted by evaluating clinical data and biochemical parameters on 40 pregnant women with GDM diagnosis and 38 healthy pregnant women. While the patient group consists of pregnant women diagnosed with GDM with the result of 75 gr OGTT between 24 and 28 weeks, the control group consists of healthy pregnant women who have not been diagnosed with GDM. Biochemically, blood serum chemerin and fetuin A levels of all patients were measured. It was investigated whether there was a statistical difference in chemerin and fetuin A levels between the groups. In our study, age, gestational week, and body mass index were similar between GDM and control groups. Chemerin and fetuin A levels in GDM group were statistically significantly higher than control group (p <0.01). According to the ROC analysis results, both Chemerin and fetuin-A levels were found to be statistically significant in GDM diagnostic performance (AUC 0.835; p <0.001, AUC 0.723; p: 0.001). In addition, the results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the increase in serum chemerin and fetuin A levels increased the GDM risk by 1.86 and 1.79 times, respectively (p <0.05). As a result, chemerin and fetuin A levels were found to be high in GDM group in our study. Although GDM serum chemerin and fetuin A levels may be important, ıt is thought that serum chemerin and fetuin A levels can play a role in the diagnostic evaluation of GDM with future researches.
