Abstract (EN)
Common values and sharings link the people and generate (create) strong ties among them. The individuals, who have strong ties and close relationships, tend to share ideas and resources with each other. Social networks provide resources like power, knowledge, capital etc., as well as reaching other networks, chance to create, realize and use the opportunity, support by giving advice, solving problems and build a reputation. Social relationships and social context affects not only entrepreneurs but also entrepreneurs? performance and change economic results of entrepreneurship Thus, social networks support entrepreneurial activities, contribute economic and social development. In this study based on social network theory, the role of social networks on entrepreneurs? strategic alliances has been aimed to specified. Networks mean the ?collaborative? relationships formed by individuals within firms, with other firms and other organizations. The data used for the study was collected by conducting a survey from 109 building contractors in Adana to search the role of the social network on chosing strategic alliances at establish stage, first five years stage and recent stage.
