Abstract (EN)
The concept of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship activities, which are quite common nowadays, develop rapidly in our country due to the additional social and economic value they created, and also gain an international dimension. Innovative ideas emerging with entrepreneurship trainings and the spread of entrepreneurial spirit within the society have an important position in the country's economy in terms of revealing new employment areas and income sources. It is known that, in entrepreneurship activities, the personalities of individuals have great importance in finding new business ideas or investing in the new business thought. The main objective of this study is to determine the personalities of the Small and Medium Sized Enterprise (SME) owners that received entrepreneurship training, and to determine the effects of the identified personality dimensions on the entrepreneurial spirit, according to the five major factors theory that is applied in many studies involving the concept of personality. An empirical study is carried out using the screening model, the data required for testing the hypotheses raised in this context are obtained via online and face-to-face methods, and analyzed with SPSS 20.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) program. As a result of the analyzes, a positive and moderate level of relationship is found between the entrepreneurial spirit of the SME owners and the extraversion size of the personality, and a positive and highly significant level of relationship is observed between the entrepreneurial spirit of the SME owners and the responsibility, openness and compatibility dimensions of the personality. However, there is no statistically significant relationship found between the entrepreneurial spirit and the emotional balance dimension of personality.
