The role of competence in the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and intrapreneur behavior

Abstract (EN)

The most important factor that enables organizations to gain a competitive advantage with innovative activities is employees. In particular, the intrapreneurial behavior of employees is a driving force on behalf of organizations. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership, competence which is the dimension of psychological empowerment and intrapreneurial behavior. In line with the aforementioned problem, data were collected from 280 private company employees in Baku, Azerbaijan, using the survey technique. SPSS 20, Lisrel 8.80 and Amos programs were used when analyzing the data: were appliedreliability, factor, correlation, regression and structural equation model analyzes. According to the findings of the study; significant and positive relationships were found between entrepreneurial leadership and intrapreneur behavior and dimensions of it, between entrepreneurial leadership and the competence, which is the dimension of psychological empowerment and between intrapreneur behavior and dimensions of it and the competence, which is the dimension of psychological empowerment. In addition, it is seen that the competence, which is the dimension of psychological empowerment has a mediating role in the relationship between entrepreneurial leadership and intrapreneurial behavior.
