Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the level of reaching the goals of "Pattern Preparing Courses" and to recommend an evaluation model based on the findings obtained for the students at Apparel Industry Programme at Faculty of Vocational Education, Gazi University. To serve this purpose, sub-goals to be researched into are as the followings; 1. At what capacity did the students reach a. the cognitive goals? b. the psychomotor goals? c. affective goals? 2. Is there a significant relationship between the level of reaching psychomotor goals and cognitive goals in "Pattern Preparing" courses? 3. Is there a significant relationship between the level of reaching cognitive goals and affective goals in "Pattern Preparing" courses? 4. Is there a significant relationship between the level of reaching psychomotor golas and affective goals in "Pattern Preparing" courses? The population of the study consists of 110 4th grade students at the department of Apparel Industry, Gazi University in 2004-2005 education term who completed training programme related to pattern preparing techniques. The whole of the population was used as the sampling population.IV In the study in which descriptive method was used, measurement instruments were developed through Delphi technique. The level of reaching cognitive goals in the course was measured through " the test of determining knowledge level", the level of reaching psychomotor goals through "aptitude scales", and the level of reaching affective goals through "attitude scales". It was found out that in "pattern preparing" courses the average point in reaching cognitive goals was 53.07, in psychomotor goals 57.16 and affective goals 77.32. According to the arithmetical average results obtained from measurement instruments; In the cognitive and psychomotor domains in terms of Bloom's full- learning model students rank below (0,70), while in affective domain they rank above this level. As the result of the study, it was found out that the relationship between the level of reaching cognitive goals and psychomotor goals was a moderate (r=.506) in positive direction, and the level of reaching cognitive goals and affective goals is low (r=.342) in positive direction, the level of reaching psychomotor goals and affective goals is low (r=.252) in positive direction. Besides recommending a programme assessment model for "pattern preparing" courses, suggestions considered to be of great contribution to the efficiency of the programme were made.
