Abstract (EN)
Nomadism/nomadic; It is called the way of life of wandering pastoralist societies that do not have a fixed place and whose economy is based on nomadic livestock. Communities with this way of life and livelihood are also communities with tribal type social organizations connected to each other by ancestry and kinship ties. The nomadic Alikan, Duderan and Soran tribes, which are the subject of this study, continue their nomadic livestock activities by living in tents in summer and winter as real/complete nomads in the highlands of Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia Regions. The characteristic features of these tribes, called nomads, are the vertical migrations between the winter pastures and summer pastures with ovine breeding activities. The cultural relationship of these tribes, which adopted pastoral nomadism, with nature appears in its purest form. In the study, the cultural practices of these tribes on traditional animal husbandry in the context of nature-culture relationship were discussed, researched and evaluated. The study is the result of a research carried out with observation and in-depth interviews by participating in the field research method. In this respect, the nomads stayed in tents for a year, and almost every phase of the life of the nomads, both in the spring and autumn migrations, was subjected to in-depth observation. In addition to the field notes taken during the participatory observation, interviews were conducted with images and audio recordings, using technical recording devices, after obtaining the consent of the people, in order to integrate concrete situation determination and qualitative narrative. The importance of the study is to transfer this life style, which has not been studied before, to the next generations with a scientific study, before it disappears, in which the nomadic Alikan, Duderan and Soran tribes struggle for existence. Nomadic animal husbandry has always been a matter of curiosity with its wandering life based on nomadism. Beyond a popular curiosity and interest, this study will shed light on future studies as well as understanding these communities as a document of this nomadic life practice, whose field is gradually narrowing with the rapid change and transformation processes experienced today, and cultural experiences and practices not seen in settled agricultural cultures identified with nomadic-animal life.
