Özet (EN)
Breast cancer is a common disease among Asian women, especially Iraqi women, as it is due to a variety of causes, including heredity, biochemical changes, and physiological disturbances, as well as the effects of environmental and eating habits. The focus of this study is on investigating some of these changes, the most important of which are thyroid disorders and lipid levels in blood plasma, as well as examining changes at the molecular level, particularly the polymorphism of the p53 gene. For the sample consisting of 100 people, 50 samples were taken from women with breast cancer and 50 samples from healthy women as the control group. Biochemical methods were adopted to measure the concentration of Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, and lipoproteins, and ELISA technique was adopted to measure the concentration of thyroid hormones (T3, T4, and TSH). Affected women had some significant biochemical changes as well as changes at the molecular level. 2021, 73 page KEY WORDS: Breast Cancer, Lipids, Thyroid disorders, p53 gene
