Abstract (EN)
Empoasca decipiens Paoli, 1930 and Asymmetrasca decedens (Paoli, 1932), which are harmful to many cultivated plants, are also harmful to grapevines. However, in recent years, these species have become important pests of grapevines. The study was carried out in five vineyard areas in the Gölmarmara district of Manisa in 2019, in the Buğdaylı, Akkavak, Göktepe, Akpınar and Pirenlik regions. E. decipiens + A. decedens species which found as mixed populations, were sampled every 15 days by shaking sweep net 100 times from 50 vines in each vineyard. As a result of the study, a total of 11,232 Empoasca decipiens + A. decedens adults were sampled from all regions. The population of these species has been as Pirenlik, Göktepe, Buğdaylı, Akpınar and Akkavak from least to most. A total of 1675 in Pirenlik; 1815 specimens of Empoasca decipiens + Asymmetrasca decedens were determined in Göktepe locality, 2079 in Buğdaylı location, 2560 in Akpınar locality and 3103 samples in Akkavak location. The population of these species varied by month. E. decipiens + A. decedens started to show activity in vineyards in May. The population level was highest in July - August. It has started to decline since the end of August and September. E. decipiens + A. decedens caused significant damage to the vineyards. First, it created curls on the leaves it sucked. As the plant absorbs the sap, the edges of the leaves turn white and then brown.
