A research on the investigation of the relationship between the volunteer simple lifestyle and consumer's personal characteristics

To design an object of your own to have a consumption system is to dream of a dream from simple life, to support yourself, to complete and complete the goal of completion. The concept of voluntary simplicity is to change consumption habits, to make more conscious and necessary choices, to lead a simple life that is self-sufficient. (Yurdakul, 2018: 12). We cannot make certain restrictions on the concept of voluntary simplicity and say that it is a concept adopted by people with the following demographic characteristics. The sensitivity of people with different demographic characteristics to the environment and their desire to continue consumption or to save money cause individuals to adopt voluntary simplicity. The voluntarily simple lifestyle encompasses a major social event. Since the increasing amount of consumption as a requirement of the basic lifestyle of the modern world should be brought to a point where the lives of future generations will not be endangered, a simple lifestyle has developed in line with the concept of sustainable consumption. Voluntary simplicity is the level of choice by the individual of a lifestyle that wants to maximize direct control in daily activities in order to minimize consumption and dependence on consumption. In this study, the relationship between the voluntary simple lifestyle and the personality traits of consumers is examined. While examining the relationship between the concept of voluntary simplicity and personality traits in the literature, the concept of consumption has been examined with its sub-branches.
