This resaerch has studied the effect of the posters to the social change processes in the event of the visual culture. Posters which will be examined will be discussed as approaches in the context of definining contemporary culture.We are witnessing that almost many methods and conditions of literary thinking hass begun to be seen expired and that visual thinking opportunities, which began in the 20th century with changing plots and had got a great impetus to the 21st century, has rapidly been increasing in our intellectual and daily lives. Individuals want to detect now faster and want to resolve more quickly. If the visual evironments and opportunties are becoming much more important to direct our perceptions today, we can say that these routings influence more powerful to social processes. Posters, as one of the most important contribution factors to the visual environment, how do they take function in the process of social transformation? This question constitutes the main problematic of this research. The answer to this question can be given by examining the history of poster designings in the 20th century and their interaction with society. In this way, we can reach the information about how poster designing and graphic designers can affect the society in the future and its role on the community transformation.In the fırst part of this research, it has been tried to define "Visual? and "visual culture " concepts, the approaches of different thinkers to this concept has been examined, social analysis of visual culture has been evaluated in the context of various discourses and ideological approaches.In the second part, posters, as one of the most important tools of visual media, have been examined on the point of view that as it is a design object in discourse of technical and artistic contents.In the thırd part, it has been investigated that how posters reflect the perceptual change from individuals and societies processes with its political, economic and sociological features in the 20th century, and were seen the effects of the new values have been observed, which has been produced by the social life to the poster desinging criterias.In the fourth part, posters examples, which would shed light to the questions that wheter posters could effect thesocial processes directly or not, have been examined.Keywords: Visual Culture, societies processes, mass culture.
