Abstract (EN)
Instead of learning by making, living and structuring, the test-anxious learning environment that requires short-term memory skills to determine one out of multiple choices, affects the creative thinking of the individual and predetermined life style. This situation can only be changed by appropriate teaching methods and techniques. The creative drama, has the same spirit as arts and arts education as a discipline and a teaching method. An experiential process is planned regarding the use of creative drama as a method in the "Teaching Methods in Art Education" (ÖÖY II) course, which takes place in the third year of the fine arts education program. In line with the aim of research, researcher asked questions such as what changes were experienced in this course supported by the creative drama method, how these changes affected the students and the learning environment. Along with observation notes which was the basic data source; researcher and student diaries, semi-structured interviews, course evaluation forms and student products were used as data collection tools. As the result of the thematic analysis of the obtained data, four themes: Coexistence, Multiple Views, Relational Drama and Relations emerged. The use of creative drama as a constructive method has resulted in positive changes in the communication environment of the classroom, triggered imagination and creativity in artistic creation processes, strengthened the ability to produce group work and cooperation. Beside these, it has been observed that the creative drama activities conducted during the lecture were process-oriented rather than result-oriented.
