Using glitch art in graphic design

Considering the impact of changing and developing technology on human life from the past to the present, there are some cases where art can emerge with such a change, sometimes inspired by nature and sometimes as a result of an accident. The artist, who passes through his own filter the problem underlying any event that occurred as a result of this accident, can create a work of art with a different perspective. Glitch art is a current and effective example in this regard. It should be considered as a shortcoming that glitch art, which has become popular recently and is still a new art movement, does not see the value it deserves and has not yet met a large part of the society. In general, some materials that are constantly in place and cannot be developed can be revived with an innovative touch or a new interpretation in some areas. The main subject of this thesis is that people always look for few in the multitude and want to see a different image. For this reason, it was aimed to give a different dimension with the glitch technique, rather than using some photographs or table-like images that seem ordinary. Semiotic analyzes of the 5 most popular posters out of 10 exhibited in the 3D vr virtual exhibition in 2022 were made. These posters, for which semiotic analysis has been made, have been chosen by the society because they have a different appearance. It is thought that these posters will attract people's attention with their mobility, rich color content, contrast and distortion of forms compared to standard 2D posters.
