Also, Mn and B elements were added into thehigh chromium white cast iron side of the some casted specimen. Hence, the effects of Mn andB elements were investigated. In study, 7 different specimens with different Mn and B contentswere casted. The microstructural changes of the produced materials were detected by theoptical and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrograph (EDS) microanalyses and x ray diffraction analyses (XRD). The effects of Mn and B additions on wearresistance were also detected by pin-on-disc test method.In the present study, it has been obtained a harder and more wear resistant in outsides ofthe casted specimens than their insides. The insides of specimens were more ductile than theoutsides. Also, the predictions of the effects of Mn and B additions were aimed in this presentstudy. All results shown that in microstructures of specimens M7C3, M23C6, M2C, M3B ve M23B6type carbides formed in high chromium white iron side of specimens. These carbides cause ahigher wear resistant on the surface side of casting materials.Keywords. Duplex casting methods, abrasive wear, high chromium white iron, boron
