In the study, which was based on a pre-test and post-test control group research design, a word test was developed for the words identified from Dayıoğlu's five works. In accordance with the reading plan given to the experimental group, the works were read within ten weeks, and the works were not read to the control group. Mann-Whitney U and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Difference tests were applied through SPSS statistical program in order to determine the significance of the data obtained from the study. As a result of the research, there is a significant difference between experimental and control groups, and planned reading activities contribute to vocabulary teaching; It was concluded that there was no difference between the retention test and posttest scores of the students in the experimental group and the words were permanent.
