The use of everyday life practices in staged photography

Everyday life is a concept pointing to all usual, insignificant, interiorized behaviors that we do without thinking anymore. Sociology of everyday life, which has been thoroughly researched by sociologists such as Henri Lefebvre, has also become a subject studied by artists. Contemporary artists continue to be interested in the subject, which we encounter especially through avant-garde art movements. Inherently to photography, we frequently meet content on everyday life throughout its history. It is possible to find everyday life in a wide umbrella extending from documentary to press photography. In this study we are going to focus on staged photographs about ordinary moments and behaviors of individuals. Our aim is to answer the question why a photographer, although it is possible to go out on the street and capture ordinary moments, feels the need to restage these moments.
