Abstract (EN)

This study analyzes the power arrangements in social life and the actions developed by the individual against these control mechanisms by taking Michael De Certeau's theory of everyday life as a basis and deals with Ozan Sağdıç's photographs. It discusses Certeau's creative tactics as a form of resistance of ordinary people against the rules and strategies of power on a theoretical basis. While Ozan Sağdıç's photographs reveal the everyday representation of these actions, they also determine the forms of resistance in the seemingly unimportant activities of ordinary people in everyday life. In addition, analyses were conducted using Barthes' concepts of denotation and connotation in order to determine Sağdıç's photographic style along with his personal and professional life story, which is the focal point of the thesis. As a result of these analyses, the power relations and forms of resistance in everyday life were determined.
