Abstract (EN)
With the industrial age, environmental problems have increased, and the damage caused to the world has reached levels that threaten human health and ecological balance today. The need for natural energy sources as alternatives to fossil and nuclear fuels has grown to mitigate these negative impacts. Solar energy is an alternative to depleting fossil fuels as it is inexpensive to obtain, clean, and causes minimal harm to the environment. For countries, energy derived from renewable sources is highly significant due to the economic and environmental benefits it provides. Since Turkey is an energy-dependent country, it imports a substantial portion of its energy needs. However, Turkey is geographically more fortunate than many other countries in terms of solar energy potential. This study has been conducted to examine the impact of solar energy systems on sustainability in industrial applications. Using a case study in a textile factory located in the Adana Organized Industrial Zone, the study evaluates the impact of solar energy usage on energy consumption, carbon footprint reduction, and environmental benefits.
