Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, the effective and efficient use of energy has become an indispensable necessity due to energy sources gradually are decreasing and energy prices are increasing. Particularly for this reason, alternative technologies that to be combined with renewable energy sources should be developed. Considering that a significant portion of produced energy is consumed for air conditioning systems of housing and facilities. The heat pump applications may be an effective way to solve this problem in these systems. Therefore, it is very important to study experimentally for the heat pump systems. In this study the experimental results of the solar-assisted vertical type ground source heat pump of a test side were investigated for heating and cooling seasons. Experimental ground area of the test side is about 120 m2 in Midyat, Mardin. Energy, exergy and eksergo economic analysis were performed over the system using the experimental results. According to the system analysis, the highest energy and exergy losses were calculated as 3,704 kW and 1,6539 kW, respectively for the compressor in the cooling period. Likewise, cost rate associated with capital investment and exergy cost were determined as 0,4658 $/h and 0,7464 $/h, respectively. Exergy loss and eksergo economic factor were computed as 27,26% and 38,43% in rate form for the compressor in the same period. Similarly, energy, exergy and eksergo economic analysis were done for the compressor in the heating period. Energy loss, exergy loss, cost rate associated with capital investment, exergy cost, exergy loss ratio and eksergo economic factor ratio were computed as 0,907 kW, 1,9255 kW, 0,4658 $/h, 0,7108 $/h, 30,24% and 39,59%, respectively. Calculated values of both cooling and heating periods show that the improvements have to be carried out mainly from the compressor component of the system. Solar energy system is used to provide the need of hot water in the cooling seasons. At the same time, it is used in order to support the heat pump in the heating seasons. While solar energy system provides about 108% of the hot water need in the cooling seasons, it supports to the heat pump system approximately 9,75% for heating period. As a result; the investigated system is quite effective in both to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. Consequently, energy costs of the investigated system were compared with the conventional systems used in Mardin. This system is the most economical one among the compared systems and also the most environmentally. It is suggested that system can be constructed in Mardin, where the fossil fuels are used for air conditioning systems.
