Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to investigate parametrically and enhance the energy usage efficiency and cooling performance of solar energy assisted hybrid cooling systems by means of energy and exergy analysis for not only conventional cooling systems but also solar assisted hybrid cooling systems. All required calculations was performed by using EES (Engineering Equation Solver) for determination of thermodynamic properties to calculate required parameters. COP and compressor work are calculated for both conventional and solar assisted refrigeration systems by considering three different refrigerants and two different collectors and inclined angles. Ozonfree and global warming friendly three different refrigerants such as R134a, R1234yf ve R1234ze was used and investigated as a working fluid. By applying first and second laws of Thermodynamics coefficient of performance of conventional and solar assisted was used in the analysis. The analysis results show that the coefficient of performance of solar energy assisted hybrid cooling systems are higher than those from the conventional cooling system for R134a, R1234yf ve R1234ze refrigerants and the increase in the coefficient of performance by 12%, 11% and 13% respectively. Moreover, the results for these systems were compared each other. Finally, the usage of solar assisted hybrid cooling systems are considered to be applicable and more efficient way of energy conversion systems in terms of cooling performance.
