Abstract (EN)

Postmodernism, which has multiple definitions, both as something concrete and abstract, has emerged after modernism and has opened up many criticisms and discussions. Not bound by any rule or principle, postmodernism rejects the rational and scientific approach of modernism and seeks novelty. Founded on the idea of reconstruction, postmodernism does not recognize a single reality or fixed knowledge. By drawing the reader into the narrative and incorporating new constructs with the reader, the postmodernist author is in pursuit of freedom. In this study, the novels and stories of Güney Dal, one of our writers who immigrated to Germany, who apparently used playfulness and metafiction in his works, were examined in a postmodern context. The method followed in the study is, first of all, to explain the connection between postmodernism and literature and the techniques used in postmodern narrative with the identified sources. Then, the artistic approach of Güney Dal, an immigrant writer who draws attention with his different style and form, is discussed and his novels and stories are examined in a postmodern line. The aim of this study is to show how Güney Dal uses postmodern narrative techniques in his works by providing examples from his writings and to determine that he is one of the well-known postmodern writers in Turkish literature. By accessing sources related to Güney Dal's views on postmodernism and examining his works, it has been determined that he is a postmodern writer. Keywords: Postmodernism, postmodern literature, Güney Dal.
