Spatial distrudinstans of olive production areas in Southeastern Anatolia Region (1991-2016)

Although Turkey olive production and a decrease has occurred since the 1950 oil production in the 1961-1962 period, Turkey made its first oil exports. Despite the law of conservation of olives in the years of 1980 and after, the olive groves have been dismantled and fed for the sake of coastal tourism and other agricultural fields have taken the place of olive cultivation. Since 2000, our country has seen serious developments in the quality and quantity of table olive and olive oil production as it was in the first years of the Republic. Because table olive and olive oil technology is developing, it is supporting the development of branded olive varieties, olive and olive oil market which are identified with their regions. Our country's olive farming structure emerges from traditional olive farming and is directed towards modern olive farming. Turkey olive and olive oil in the world market for high quality production targets, the most important condition for living have a say in some issues. Olive should be given due importance and should have a significant share in exports together with domestic market demands. Turkey and the world the demand for olive is increasing every day. Southeastern Anatolia has an increasing potential for olives in recent years. The region, which has an important place in terms of olive production, constitutes our working area. Olives have an important place in exported agricultural products. Approximately 50% of the olive oil produced in Turkey and of table olives are exported 25%. Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey olive trees, the presence of 9.09%, while the production has 3.70%. It is among the important income sources of the people of the region. In this study, I will try to shed light on the distribution of olive, the difference and change of olive production among the illusions within the framework of maps, graphics and tables and geographic information system. In the Southeastern Anatolia Region, the findings related to the production of olive oil from the past will be put forward and opinions about what to do will be announced.
