Abstract (EN)

The 2. World Wars that have taken place from the beginning of the 20th. Century to the first half have undoubtedly caused profound wounds in people is memories. When we look at world history, the war it is among the most important events that are considered. As far as we know, sociological, psychological and economical exploits have left unexplainable wounds after wars that have caused the lives of millions of people and have left survivors in difficult living conditions. War and post-war era have created a great workspace for historians and literary figures. Many writers have received warrants that will be judged deeply within the caused and effect relationship.Günter Grass, who witnessed the 2.World War, presented his reading to the readers in his work titled "Peeling the Onion", in which he remained silent, not to be silent, but to become a member of the Nazi youth, most importantly, savagery and destruction. İn this work, Günter Grass describes the most exciting period in his life. After poverty loses his life and is willing to participate in the war, he shares with all the nudity from starving in prison camps to losing his family's license, witnessing deaths and being a target for a bullet. This work; the fears that people are always alive to death, the economic and psychological problems, fascism and racism that feed the war. The same period took place in this work since fascism was linked to the period of National Socialism and Hitler's leadership, which played an active role. İn this work Günter Grass's "Peeling the Onion", a member of the Nazi Youth that he hid throughout his life, confesses and examines in detail the socio-cultural events that have developed in Germany during and after the 2.World War, putting the importance degree is the main purpose in this study.
