Relationship of today's play-art-toy in ceramic projects

Since the existence of the humans, play and toy are one of the most significant necessities for living. Play and toy are seen as the foundation of the process that prepares the child for an adulthood. lt creates the future grounds and conveys the traces of the time from past to the future. The changes and developments brought by the industrialist is an important period in the history of humanity with the development of the technology in the 21st Century has influenced the social life. This effect has caused changes in the form of material and the meaning of play and toy in several areas. Toys that are produced and seen as same as the society in which they are played, it also realizes its own improvisations by the changes in the society. Innovations reflected in the concepts of play and toy can be seen in art productions with the influence of understanding of the art. The intense working conditions and stability of today's people have created the DIY movement, it is one of the platforms that encourage people to do a new task by themselves and be contended. Several artists have started to present play and toy within their productions that they want to express and design. The aim of this study is to critically analyze the changes in the play and toy concepts that have not lost its value from the ancient world to the present days and the way they are expressed in the contemporary art and design frameworks as well as in the consumption system.
