New art apporoaches in plastic arts in our times and its importance in art education

The reason of essence of the art which is equal to the history of human being has never been the same. The role of art has been changed and shaped by the conditions of its own period. Since the twentieth century is a period which is full of technological, scientific, social and political improvements, it has brought some differences in thinking and living in society. As a result of the movements following each other and the changes in our judgments and patterns about art, art has changed into a sentimental phenomenon from being a thing composed and visioned. The art object became an information object. The artistic objects changed through a starting point for discussing some specific phenomenon and notions. The art, the artist and the notions of the work of art are questioned. This change of art requires a change in art education and improvement. At this point, the artist and the art instructor both should be aware of what on earth is going on and be able to improve the new statement possibilities with new and experimental productions. Today?s art education institutions require such a transition, communication and adequacy of its era among disciplines. Unfortunately, the expected targets haven?t been reached from the point of keeping and improving freedom, and maintaining the creativity and attendance in artistic area in our country. Currently, a phenomenon exceeding the notions of art, art education, artist, work of art and visioner can not be observed. All improvements on behalf of Modern Art and Conceptual Art cause the necessity of redefining the point of the art education institutions and education concepts according to today?s demands. Our research?s conceptual part that we mention about the period of art and art education improving as a condition of social change consists of three parts. At the first part the subjective part of shaping in art; at the second part, the change and improvement of art in the world at the technological, social and political period, and the arriving point of art according to the intellectual and formal view, also the effects of this period on the improvement of Turkish art are mentioned. At the third part, at deriving point of art the improvement of art education in the world and Turkey are surveyed. However, it is well known that the modern formations don?t take part in the art education institutions adequately. Art and art education need artists and art instructors who use information technologies much more, keep up with changing conditions of the era, are able to discuss alternative phenomenon and formations beyond art and sculpture, are able to question local and universal standard of judgment. And this is possible with an art education following, practicing and accepting the changes and yields of its era in theory and practice. At this point, new modern education programs which give opportunity to communication and transition among disciplines should be developed.
