A research on Güray Süngü's stories

Güray Süngü is an attention-grabbing name among the new generation storytellers. The artist who carved out a niche for himself at Turkish Storytelling after 2000 has 11 literary Works – 6 novels , 1 long story and 4 short stories. In our study, total 50 short stories which are in Güray Süngü's books- Deli Gömleği, Hiçbir Şey Anlatmayan Hikâyelerin İkincisi, Köşe Başında Suret Bulan Tek Kişilik Aşk and Vicdan Sızlar- were examined. Our study consists of 4 main chapters except for the introduction and the conlusion chapter. In the introduciton chapter, the development of the story type was mentioned. In the first chapter, Güray Süngü's life was mentioned. In the second chapter, the plot, the characters, the time, the place and the point of view which are in Güray Süngü's stories were examined. In the third chapter, loneliness, depression, escape and lunacy were assessed in terms of thematic. In the fourth chapter, the techniques of telling besides language and the author's style in the stories were included. In the conlusion chapter of our study, a general review about Güray Süngü's stories were done. In the appendix part, the interview with Güray Süngü was included.
