Abstract (EN)

In this study, "Comparison of Geography Teaching Programs in Georgia and Turkey" was carried out. In the study, the geography curricula of both countries were mainly compared in terms of purpose, achievement, content, teaching process and weekly course hours. In the first part of the work, problem sentence of the subject, the aim, the importance, the main investigations, assumptions and some definitions about the subject were made. In the second part, the theoretical framework of the study was introduced and the education system of Georgia and Turkey was introduced, geography education was mentioned and examples from geography education were shown. In the third part, information about the method in the research was presented. In the fourth section, findings and interpretations were written by making comparisons. Finally, the fifth section provides conclusions and recommendations. In the research, were used a qualitative approach and case study. Data collection tools of reasearch consist of a semi-structured interview form and a document review. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis method.
