Abstract (EN)

This thesis has been conducted to investigate the effects of a 12-week technique-related endurance training program on wrestlers' circumference, body composition, aerobic and anaerobic power. A total of 42 male athletes, 22 of whom were in the experimental group and 20 of whom were in the control group and between the ages of 18-24, actively wrestling for 6-8 years, and who had achieved a national level, participated voluntarily in this study. It was applied to participants a descriptive information form, body weight, body circumference measurement, body composition, aerobic and anaerobic power measurement, standing long jump, body mass index and finger strength measurement tests. Normal training programs were applied to the experimental and control groups 6 days a week. While the control group continued the endurance training program 6 days a week, the experimental group was subjected to a technique-related endurance strength training program 3 days a week in addition to normal training. Pre-test measurements were made to the wrestlers in the experimental and control groups before the training program began and post-test measurements were made after the 12-week training program. Field and laboratory tests were applied to determine the physiological and technical capacities of the wrestlers. The obtained data were analyzed with SPSS program and repeated measures anova, main effect test was applied for mixed measurements to determine the differences between the experimental and control group wrestlers and p<0.05 value was accepted as significant. As a result of the tests, body weight, upper arm flaccid, forearm flaccid, lower leg flaccid, lower leg muscular, chest flaccid, body fat percentage, body mass index, aerobic power, 6-second relative power, standing long jump and right pinch measurement values of the experimental group were found to be statistically significant (p<0.05). In the lower dimension, experimental group, VYY, aerobic power, 6-second relative power, 30-second power peak, 30-second relative power, experimental and control groups left pinch, control group 6-second power avg, post-test-pretest measurement results were found to be statistically significant (p˃0.05). This thesis was studied with the decision of the ethics committee dated 02.02.2024 and numbered 2024/01. As a result, it was determined that 12 weeks of technique-related endurance training in wrestlers contributed positively to the physical and physiological performances of the wrestlers.
