Abstract (EN)

Purpose: In this study, it is aimed to determine the suitability of the lands in Aydın province Çine district, Gürlen region for agricultural irrigation. Materials and Methods: 1/25000 scale topographic maps were used in the study. In the study area, profiles were opened at 13 determined points and a total of 19 soil samples were taken from depths of 0-30 cm and 30-60 cm. The soil samples taken were analyzed for texture, saturation, pH, EC, permeability, total salt, field capacity and wilting point. In addition, infitration tests were carried out in the study area. After combining the physical and chemical analysis results with the morphological features determined in the field, Using the ArcGIS (ArcGIS Desktop 10.5, 2016) program, the study area was classified as suitable for irrigation. Findings: In terms of suitability of the study area for irrigated agriculture, it has been determined that of the total area of 464 ha, 147 ha consists of 3rd class and 317 ha consists of 4th class lands, and there are no 1st and 2nd class lands. Conclusion: It has been determined that lands with high slope and shallow soil structure are suitable for special irrigation and cultivation of special products.
