The private security's preventive authorizations in terms of security management

The developing technology and globalization have been cause to the economic, cultural and political changes currently. This changing process effects the security phenomenon, and the security has gained more importance in every countries. The state served the private sector to compensate needs of nonstate organizations' security problems and use the general police force in essential missions, in Turkey. The private security attendants are responsible for personal properties' observance and protection, security control, installation and alarm systems in their missions. Therefore, the role of private security attendants became significant in every sectors and institutions. This researh deals the security concept, the private security sector's capacious, and its management, goals and functions because of its attendants work together generally as a crowded groups in their missons at institutions. Thus, this research aims to get knowledge about directors and director candidates' management in security sector. This research draws a frame of security services, stressing on general police force and indicating the position of private security, in Turkey. The private security sector's development is examined in a three stage: before the law of no: 2495, after the law of no: 2495 and current law of no: 5188. Besides, this research studies the private security majors' development process in universities, briefly . In this reasearch, the private security attendants' authorities have been drawn in general lines, and analyzed them within the limits of the law. This main goal of this initiative is knowing, understanding and percieiving of these authorities not only by just the private security attendants but also by another ones interacted with them. Thus, some problems relevant lack of knowledge will be minimized. Also, this thesis indicates the private security attendants' area of responsibilities, and shows the relation of general police force and private security missions. Our work ended with a general evaluation and conclusion.
