The effects of art criticism method on students' learning in fine arts high school 10th grade two-dimensional main art workshop course

In societies where art education is developed, although art has prominent features that are reflected in life, people can develop artistic sense and concious. It is of great importance that Visual Arts education is enriched with contemporary pedagogical methods in schools that are at the top of society education-teaching fields. The Multi-Fields Visual Arts Education Method, which is one of these pedagogical methods, and the practice of art, art criticism, and aesthetic approach are handled together. Among these sub-disciplines, such as recognizing the work of art ,artistic development of skills such as critical approach, analysis, and reasoning with the method of art criticism can be achieved. With this research, a process that deals with the problem situation and sub-problems with the sonata elestrial method, which is one of the disciplines of ÇAGSEY, was followed. The research was carried out with the students of Hatay Bedii Sabuncu Fine Arts High School 10th Chief of the 2022-2023 education. During the research application process, which was carried out with the randomized pretest posttest control group design model, which is one of the experimental designs, 20 students formed the experimental group and 20 students formed the control group in random selection from a sample pool of 40 people. Practicing of research was realized in 5 weeks. In the study, the Edmund Feldman model art criticism method, which was adapted to the "Art Criticism and Aesthetics" unit in the experimental group, also wanted to determine what the students' learning levels, attitudes, and the old level of kaholic were in their learning Pretest and posttest before and after . As a result of the research, it was seen that the art criticism method gave significant results regarding the learning, attitude and achievement levels of the experimental group students.
